Baseball Bats Used in the 2024 College World Series

College World Series

The 2024 College World Series is over and the Tennessee Vols and Louisville Slugger bats are national champions! In this article we’ll review the teams in the 2024 College World Series and the baseball bats each team and player uses. Numerous college programs have partnerships with leading sports brands for equipment. While players are not usually obligated to use a particular brand, they are often incentivized with free gear and access to the manufacturer’s full range. This results in many colleges swinging bats from the same brand.

The top bats used in the 2024 CWS are from DeMarini and Louisville Slugger, with a few from Marucci and Rawlings. DeMarini bats were wielded by a significant number of players at the CWS. The Goods, a single-piece alloy bat known for its power and durability, was the most popular DeMarini model at the tournament. Louisville Slugger is also a popular bat manufacturer in college baseball. The most popular Louisville Slugger bat at the CWS is the Select PWR, a three-piece hybrid bat known for its balance and performance.

Here’s a breakdown of which teams and players are using which bats:

Tennessee Volunteers

  • Christian Moore: 2020 Louisville Slugger Omaha
  • Blake Burke: 2025 Louisville Slugger Select PWR
  • Billy Amick: 2023 Louisville Slugger Select PWR
  • Dylan Dreiling: Louisville Slugger Select PWR
  • Hunter Ensley: Louisville Slugger Select PWR
  • Kavares Tears: 2025 Louisville Slugger Select PW
  • Dean Curley: 2025 Louisville Slugger Omaha
  • Reese Chapman: 2025 Louisville Slugger Omaha
  • Cal Stark: 2023 Louisville Slugger Select PWR

The Vols are the 2024 national champions and the bulk of the team is swinging the Louisville Slugger Select PWR, the most popular Louisville bat in college baseball due to its end-loaded design. However, three players are using the Omaha, which makes me feel good as it’s a much less expensive bat that has been around forever. Additionally, Tennessee has transitioned to the 2025 models for both the Select PWR and Omaha, in a few cases which is unusual.

Texas A&M Aggies

  • Jackson Appel: DeMarini The Goods
  • Ted Burton: DeMarini The Goods
  • Jack Bell: DeMarini The Goods
  • Ali Camarillo: DeMarini The Goods
  • Gavin Grahovac: DeMarini The Goods
  • Jace Laviolette: DeMarini The Goods
  • Travis Chestnut: DeMarini The Goods
  • Caden Sorrell: DeMarini The Goods
  • Hayden Schott: DeMarini The Goods

The Aggies proved they’re a force to be reckoned with, taking home second place at the tournament! Just like many other DeMarini schools, their secret weapon? The Goods bat. This powerhouse is DeMarini’s most popular model for a reason, and it’s sure to keep Aggie hitters swinging for the fences for seasons to come.

2024 Arkansas Razorbacks

Peyton Stoval: 2023 Marucci Cat X Connect

  • Kendall Diggs: 2024 DeMarini Voodoo One
  • Wehiwa Aloy: 2024 Wartic Bonesaber Hybrid
  • Ben Mclauglin: 2023 Marucci Cat X Connect
  • Jared Sprauge-Lott: 2024 DeMarini Voodoo One
  • Ross Lovich: 2023 Warstic Bonesaber Black
  • Hudson White: 2023 Louisville Slugger Select PWR
  • Nolan Souza: 2024 Louisville Slugger Atlas
  • TY Wilmsmeyer: 2023 Warstic Bonesaber

Arkansas is one of the few Power 5 teams that does not have a bat contract with a manufacturer. But, some players have an NIL agreement with a manufacturer so there is some bias in their choice of bat. My quess is that Warstic has an NIL agreement with several players. Other than the Bonesaber it’s an even split between Marucci, DeMarini and Louisville Slugger.

Oregon State Beavers
  • Travis: Bazzana: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Micah McDowell: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Mason Guerra: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Jacob Krieg: 2023 DeMarini The Goods
  • Dallas Macias: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Gavin Turley: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Jabin Trosky: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Wilson Weber: 2022 DeMarini The Goods
  • Elijah Hainline: 2022 DeMarini The Goods

Make no mistake, the Beavers’ go-to bat is the DeMarini The Goods! It is the most popular DeMarini bat in college baseball, though there is usually a smattering of Voodoo One in use. Not here; it’s all The Goods for Oregon State.

Vanderbilt Commodores
  • Jack Bulger: 2024 DeMarini Voodoo One
  • RJ Austin: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Jayden Davis: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Alan Espinal: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Troy LaNeve: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Davis Diaz: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Chris Maldonado: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Calvin Hewett: 2024 DeMarini The Goods
  • Jonathan Vastine: 2024 DeMarini The Goods

Vanderbilt is a DeMarini team, and once again, The Goods is the bat of choice, with only Jack Bulger opting for the Voodoo One. Let’s be clear: The Goods is the preferred DeMarini baseball bat in college baseball.

LSU Tigers
  • Steven Milam: Marucci CATX Connect
  • Tommy White: Marucci CATX Connect
  • Hayden Travinski: Marucci CATX Connect
  • Brady Neal: Marucci CATX Connect
  • Jared Jones: Marucci CATX Connect
  • Josh Pearson: Marucci CATX Connect
  • Mac Bingam: Marucci CATX Connect
  • Jake Brown: Marucci CATX Connect
  • Michael Braswell: Marucci CATX

Did you get the feeling that the Tigers prefer the CATX Connect? This is not unusual. The Connect is by far the most popular Marucci bat, known for its massive sweet spot that helps hitters crush the ball. No wonder the Tigers players are going for the fences with the Connect.
