DeMarini has been a staple player in the in the baseball bat industry for years and is known for their doublewall two-piece bats.
They’ve done a good job in expanding their line-up in recent years and have a stick for every type of hitter. But, I believe if you swing a DeMarini you should be a contact hitter and use their two-piece bat balanced bats.
Here’s the 2019 lineup:
DeMarini CF Zen: $349.95 Adult -3
Their most technologically advanced and most expensive bat. It has a balanced swing weight with a Paraflex+ Composite construction with the standard DeMarini feel and pop. The barrel design and a 3Fusion System are “supposed” to pair to give players transitioning into BBCOR and faster swing with a more balanced feel. 3Fusiion is “supposed” to reduce vibration when the bat makes contact with a pitch and minimize weight at the end of the bat.
- Paraflex Composite construction for more precise weight distribution
- 3Fusion Handle for greater weight control and feel
- 3Fusion End Cap optimizes sweet spot, sound and feel through the barrel
- X-Lite Knob is ergonomically designed to perfectly fit players’ hands
If you are a contact hitter who has the money to spend this bat should be considered. If you’re a power hitter, you should look elsewhere.
DeMarini CF Insane: $299.95 Adult -3
This is an example of where DeMarini has expanded their lineup over the years. Traditionally they’ve focused on balanced bats, but this end loaded bat is built for power. While it is end loaded, it is only slightly end loaded to put some more mass in the barrel – and more momentum in your swing. It has a Paraflex+ Composite barrel and handle that has a good feel and includes the 3Fusion™ System. As with all end loaded bats, it keeps the energy in the barrel instead of your hands.
- Power composite design with more barrel mass
- Insane Loaded: Average 40 points higher on MI Scale than CBC
- Paraflex+ Composite gives you a premium feel on contact and maximum pop off the barrel
- 3Fusion Connection redirects energy back into the barrel
It’s my opinion to pass on this bat because I strongly feel end loaded power bats should be a one-piece bat. Yes, that’s my opinion!
DeMarini Voodoo Balanced: $299.95 Adult -3
The Voodoo is Demarini’s bread and butter. It’s one of the lightest-swinging half and half models on the market. It features their X14 Alloy barrel construction with a thinner wall design that gives a balanced swing. It also has the 3Fusion system that is “supposed” to reduce vibration and minimize the weight at the end of the bat.
- Balanced design
- X14 Alloy barrel
- 3Fusion End Cap
If you’re a contact hitter and prefer a two-piece bat this is an excellent option at a good price.
DeMarini Voodoo Insane: $299.95 Adult -3
This is Demarini’s most end-loaded stick in their lineup and was designed for power hitters It has the same X14 alloy barrel as the Voodoo Balanced with the 3Fusion system. So essentially Connection redirects energy back into the barrel instead of their hands.
- End loaded hybrid design
- X14 Alloy barrel
- 3Fusion system
As mentioned, if you’re a power hitter I’d look elsewhere.
DeMarini Voodoo One: $249.99 Adult -3
The DeMarini Voodoo One is a balanced bat with a balanced swing weight. It’s here to contact hitters who prefer of a one-piece aluminum bat an option. Like the other Voodoos it’s made of X14 Alloy and the 3Fusion end cap.
- X14 Alloy barrel construction
- 3Fusion end cap
- XLite is supposed to reduce weight 25% in knob v. standard knob design
I’ve said the Voodoo balanced is a good option and this would be the option for those how prefer one-piece design.
